I can’t describe the value and richness of being on the ground in Israel, of holding my Bible with a group of friends and fellow volunteers, reading a Bible passage in the place where it happened. Israel wasn’t much on my radar before God called me to volunteer there, but now it is under my skin and stamped on my heart. Getting to volunteer in Jerusalem with Bridges for Peace, side by side with volunteers from around the world who come with different cultures, languages, perspectives and viewpoints to form a family and work together to bless Israel and its people was such a privilege.
